
Famous TV host Tariq Aziz passes away at the age of 84
Famous Pakistani host of ‘Neelam Ghar’, and actor, Tariq Aziz passed away today in Lahore at the age of 84 years. Tariq Aziz was admitted to a private hospital last night after feeling critically ill. However, the cause of his death is still unknown.
Tariq Aziz was a Pakistani film actor, television show host, and politician, known for his work on the PTV’s Quiz Show Neelam Ghar, later renamed the Tariq Aziz Show and later known as Bazm-e-Tariq Aziz. Aziz was born in Jalandhar on April 28, 1936. After partition, his family migrated to Pakistan and settled in Sahiwal, where he received his primary education. He started his career with Radio Pakistan in the 1960s and later went on to become Pakistan’s first television host.

Pakistani celebrities expressed their grief over the death of legendary TV host Tariq Aziz and paid rich tributes to him. Pakistani stars turned to social media and paid tribute to the Neelam Ghar host Tariq Aziz.
Legend is, what legend does. He served us all. For so so long. Pakistan is indebted to you Tariq Aziz Sir. Truly, the end of an era.

For his services to the entertainment industry, he was awarded the prestigious Pride of Performance Award by the government in 1992. President Arif Alvi prayed for the anchor’s soul to rest in peace and Prime Minister Imran Khan said he was saddened to hear about Aziz’s death.
A chapter closes with the sad demise of Tariq Aziz. May his soul rest in peace. I will fondly remember his opening greetings in Neelam Ghar.
